A Safe Place to Weather the Storm

I entered a photo comp which a local charity, C.A.T.H (Churches Action for The Homeless), was running. It was all a bit last minute as been told about it a couple of months ago and then completely forgot until the lady running it, Cress, who is a literacy worker there and I have contact with through the people I support, reminded me and encouraged me to enter. Anyway the other day I get into work and told that one of my photos got runner up prize and was voted best in the homelessness category.

The next day I was at the prize giving and got a nice little goodie bag of various Scottish and photo related stuff. The judges comments were very good to and I was told the photo was  “stunning and dramatic, technically proficient, sumptuous colours and great composition and embodied the category well”
So here is the winning photo. It’s called haven on the horizon and the caption attached read “A safe place to weather the chaos of life”  which is almost what I actually wrote on the entry e-mail!!!!!

Edit: The winning images can be viewed in the foyer at Perth Library for the next couple of weeks! – IanShare This Post
