Auchmithie Harbour and sunset

iansmallWednesday night is proving to be a good time for us to head out with the camera’s and capture some of our beautiful country. This week was no exception and saw five of us head out to Auchmithie again in search of some slow shutter speed action.

I ended up loading in the polariser, the ND8 and the graduated ND filters in order to slow the shutter down and bring the sky back in line.

Just a bit shorter than 1 second shutters were giving the crashing waves some nice detail

sarahsmall  Always love to go to the east coast, it’s home to me. Especially Auchmithie where I used to walk to along the cliffs from Arbroath. But this night it was just the pebbly beach we were at with the tide coming in fast. Still fabulous though. And got some lovely soft waves shots, though only had the polariser filter unlike Ian with his cornucopia of filters. A very good night though in a lovely place.

So here’s some my shots.
